For everyone

Your board

Every task in one place, by owner, due date, project and status, and how it stays up to date without anyone updating it.

Open your board

  • In Slack: /pondros board, or Open Pondros on the Pondros app’s Home tab.
  • On the web: app.pondros.com, then Board in the left rail.

A workspace can have several boards, one per team or client, and each board groups its tasks into projects. Tasks caught in a channel are filed under that channel’s project unless you say otherwise.

What a task holds

  • Title and notes
  • Owner, and the requester who asked for it
  • Due date, priority and tags
  • Project and board
  • A checklist, and an optional repeat for recurring work
  • A link back to the Slack message it came from, and its history: every check-in, reply and change
  • Chase on Slack, on by default, which controls whether Pondros follows up on it

How it stays up to date

Nobody has to update the board by hand, though anyone can. Replies to check-ins move due dates, mark work blocked and close tasks; “done with the deck” in a channel Pondros is watching updates the author’s own task; and you can tell Pondros directly:

  • @Pondros push the Acme deck to next Wednesday
  • @Pondros give the vendor list to Priya
  • @Pondros mark the Northwind scope done

Late work

When a task passes its due date it’s marked late, moves to the top of the board, and keeps getting check-ins until it’s done or someone quiets it. See Follow-ups and escalation.

Deleting

Deleting a task removes it and its history permanently. Deleting a whole board needs every admin to approve. See Data retention and deletion.
