For everyone
Scheduled jobs and digests
The Monday digest, and standing jobs you set up by asking: what runs when, and how to pause or delete it.
What runs by itself
| What | When (US Eastern) | Who gets it |
|---|---|---|
| Check-ins on tasks | Weekdays, about 9 AM | Task owners. See Follow-ups. |
| Morning DM | Weekdays, 8 AM | Each person with something due or slipping |
| Monday recap | Mondays, 8:45 AM | #pondros, or admins by DM |
| Pre-meeting brief | A few minutes before a meeting | You, if your calendar is connected |
The Monday recap
Every Monday, Your week in follow-through sums up the last week across the team:
- tasks tracked, done and overdue, and your follow-through rate;
- the single most overdue task;
- how much overdue work each person is carrying.
It covers boards everyone can see, and is skipped in a week where nothing came due and nothing is overdue.
The morning DM
On weekday mornings each person gets one short DM, here’s your day, with what’s due today and what’s slipping, ending Reply and I’ll update the board.It’s skipped when there’s nothing to say, and turned off with the person’s Nudges setting.
Jobs you set up
Ask for anything on a schedule and Pondros sets it up as an automation:
@Pondros every Monday at 9, post what slipped last week in #leads
@Pondros every Friday afternoon, DM me the open items on Northwind
@Pondros each morning, check #support for questions nobody answered
- It posts where you asked, or where you set it up.
- By default it only posts when something changed since the last run. Say “every time” if you want it regardless.
- It can only post in channels it’s in; if it isn’t, it tells you and sets nothing up.
Note
If a job fails three runs in a row, Pondros pauses it and tells you. Nothing else is changed; ask it to start again when it’s worth another try.
Pause, change or delete
In Slack
@Pondros what have you got scheduled?
@Pondros pause the Monday slipped report
@Pondros for the Friday Northwind DM, leave out anything owned by the client
On the web
Agent → Scheduledin the Pondros app lists yours and the team’s, each with an on/off switch, Edit, and delete. A job someone else set up can only be changed by them or an admin. See Use case library for more to set up.
