No reply, a task not caught, a teammate not admitted: fixes for common problems in Slack.

| No reply in a channel | It wasn't tagged, or it isn't in the channel. | Tag @Pondros. For a private channel, /invite @Pondros first. |
| It stopped answering my follow-ups in a thread | Untagged follow-ups are only picked up for ten minutes after the last tag. | Tag it again. |
| “I can only read channels I've been invited to” | You asked about a channel it isn't in. | Invite it there and ask again. |
| “`what's` isn't a thing I know” | You typed a question after /pondros, which only takes commands. | Ask with @Pondros or in a DM instead. |
| “I hit an unexpected error” | Something failed on our side. | Ask again. If it keeps happening, email hey@pondros.com. |
Tasks
| Problem | Why | Fix |

| An ask wasn't caught | Pondros isn't in that channel, or wasn't sure it was an ask. Check your DMs for a 🤔 Possible task. | Tag the person and say when, or use ⋯ → Send to Pondros board. |
| A name without an @ only made a suggestion | First names are ambiguous, so they always need confirming. | Press ➕ Add to board, or tag the person next time. |
| Something that wasn't a task was caught | It read like a commitment. | Delete it from the board, or press ✕ Not a task on a suggestion. |
| The task is owned by the wrong person | Nobody was tagged, so it went to the rota or to you. | Ask @Pondros give it to @Sam, or change it on the board. |
Follow-ups
| Problem | Why | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| A task was never followed up | It has no due date or owner, Chase on Slack is off, or the owner turned Nudges off. | Add a date and owner on the board. |
| Follow-ups arrived on the due date, not before | Check-ins skip weekends, so a Monday task is first chased that Monday. | Give weekend-adjacent tasks a Friday date. |
| Too many check-ins | It repeats each weekday while the task is due soon or late. | Reply, press Tomorrow or Next week, or turn off Chase on Slack for that task. |
