Hand off a task
Ask a teammate for something in Slack and Pondros writes it down with an owner, a due date and a project.
In a channel
Ask the way you already do. Tag the person and say when:
@Rob can you send Northwind the revised scope by Tuesday?
Pondros adds ✅ to your message and DMs you: ✅ Added to Pondros — Send Northwind the revised scope · owner: Rob · due Tue.
Pondros only sees channels it’s in. It joins public channels when it’s installed; for a private channel, type /invite @Pondros there first.
Through @Pondros
Or ask Pondros to do the asking:
@Pondros ask @Sam for the vendor list by Tuesday
Pondros replies in the thread, creates the task with Sam as the owner, and follows up with Sam.
You can hand off several things at once, or ask it to message the person directly:
@Pondros DM Priya and ask for the Q3 usage numbers by Thursday
With the task form
- On any message: ⋯ → Send to Pondros board.
- From anywhere: the New Pondros task shortcut, or
/pondros addon its own.
The form has Task, Notes, Board, Project, Assign to, Due, Priority, Tags, Repeat and a Checklist. Press Add task, and Pondros DMs you a confirmation. For a quick one, type it inline:
/pondros add send the pricing deck @Maya
Owners, dates and projects

| Owner | The person you tagged. If you promised it yourself ("I'll send it"), you. If nobody is named, the next person on the turns rota, or you. |
| Due date | Whatever you said: "by Friday", "tomorrow", "end of month". With no date, the task is tracked but never chased. |
| Project | The channel it was asked in, unless you name a board or project. |
Tip
A task without a due date is never followed up. If it matters, say when.
Suggestions
When Pondros isn’t sure a message is an ask, it doesn’t create a task. It DMs whoever wrote it: 🤔 Possible task, with ➕ Add to board and ✕ Not a task. Asking someone by name without an @ always goes this way, as a suggestion in the thread, because a first name could mean anyone.

Take turns
Set a rota once, and unassigned tasks go to the next person on it:
